Help Good Hands Transport Meet a Growing Community Need

We are changing lives  ride at a time

My name is Adrilyn Walker Smith (Lynn), and I am the owner and founder of Good Hands Transport**, a Birmingham-based transportation company committed to providing safe, reliable, dependable, and affordable transportation to the people who need it most.

I am reaching out because **the need has become greater than I can meet alone—and I need your help.

When I started Good Hands Transport, I knew transportation was a problem in our community. What I did not realize was just how significant the need would be.

Since our full launch on **June 8, 2026**, the response has been overwhelming. We are receiving requests from individuals who need transportation to medical appointments, work, essential services, and other destinations. We have also been contacted by organizations interested in partnering with us.

The challenge is that **I have more demand than my current operation can handle.**

Right now, Good Hands Transport is essentially a one-person operation supported by one part-time driver and a volunteer. I am the owner, driver, dispatcher, receptionist, trainer, HR department, accounts receivable and accounts payable administrator, social media manager, come to Jesus meeting facilitator, and more.

But I have reached a point where passion and determination are no longer enough. We need help to grow.

 Why Transportation Matters

My commitment to this work is deeply personal.

During my experience working at a shelter, I met women who desperately wanted to work, become self-sufficient, and improve their lives. Yet transportation barriers prevented some of them from pursuing employment opportunities.

My healthcare experience has shown me another side of the problem. Missing transportation can mean missing a doctor's appointment, a treatment, a job, or an opportunity to move forward.

Transportation may seem like a simple ride from Point A to Point B.

**For many people, it is much more than that. It is access. It is independence. It is opportunity.**

And right now, people in our community are asking for rides that I simply do not have the capacity to provide.

 We Need Your Help

We are seeking donations and community support to help us build the infrastructure necessary to serve more people safely and sustainably.

Your contribution can help fund:

* **A dispatcher/ receptionist/admin ** to coordinate rides and improve scheduling

* **Reserved funds for Commercial insurance** necessary to expand our fleet

* **Driver recruitment and training**

* **Administrative staff** to help manage the growing operation

* **Vehicle maintenance and safety expenses**

* **Operational support** that will allow me to focus on growing the business and serving the community

* **Additional vehicles** to increase our transportation capacity

This Is Bigger Than One Business

I am not asking for help simply because I want to grow my company.I am asking because **I am seeing a transportation problem that is bigger than Good Hands Transport.**

Some people who contact us can afford transportation. Others cannot.

That difference has opened my eyes to an even greater issue: **there are people who need transportation but have limited or no ability to pay for it.**

I don't want to simply turn those people away.

I want Good Hands Transport to become part of the solution.

Our goal is to build a transportation operation that is **measurable, scalable, sustainable, and transferable globally. —one that can grow beyond a one-person operation and eventually serve communities, states and countries on a much larger scale.

But we cannot do this alone.

Every Contribution Can Help Us Move Someone Forward

Whether you are an individual, business, nonprofit, healthcare organization, faith-based organization, community leader, or potential corporate partner, **your support can help Good Hands Transport reach the next level.**

A donation toward a background check can help us bring on a qualified driver.

A contribution toward insurance can help put another vehicle on the road.

Support for administrative staff can give us the capacity to answer phones, coordinate rides, manage partnerships, and serve more customers.

A donation toward a vehicle can ultimately mean hundreds—or potentially thousands—of additional rides for people who need them.

**Your support doesn't just help us purchase resources. It helps us create access.**

I started Good Hands Transport because I believe people deserve a safe and dependable way to get where they need to go.

Today, I am asking you to help me make that vision bigger than one person, one van, or one company.

**The need is too great for me to do this alone.**

If you are able to contribute financially, provide professional services, assist with vehicles, connect us with potential partners, or help us identify funding opportunities, I would be deeply grateful.

Together, we can help more people get to work, get to healthcare, get to opportunity, and get where they need to go.

I have collected data for over 10 years using my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and using Voice of the  Customer. My business model/ platform is data driven and my MVP is measurable, scalable, sustainable,  and transferable. I have a skill to  take this platform from micro to macro with community support.

**Thank you for believing in Good Hands Transport and for helping us put more people in motion.**

With gratitude,

Adrilyn Walker Smith ( Lynn)
